Tea with Hungry Lucy – Episode 65

Posted: March 11, 2007 in HL Podcast

Tea with Hungry LucyWar-N and Christa bring to a close a highly productive weekend and tell us all about it in episode 65 of Tea with Hungry Lucy. Christa (with War-N’s help) brought christabelle.com back to the world starting off with the photo essay/short story “Blood in the Forest” and a recipe for Honey Mustard Tofu. Christa promises to share plenty of goodness via the new site. The duo also spent Sunday sparking, writing and recording a demo of a brand new somber, yet sweet, song entitled “Sunday Smiled”. OPM this week featured Aimee Mann and Paper Route (featured on Episode 18 of The Sonic Spotlight). War-N shares news of a settlement between the FCC and “Big Radio” that should prove very promising for us indie artists. CB & W wrap up the podcast with banter about Chick Flicks and Clatterford.

Don’t forget to submit your entry for the “Make Your Own Damn T-Shirt” contest. Deadline is Midnight on April 1st!!

Hungry Lucy wants YOUR feedback: Do you have a dream? What else is on your mind? We want to know. You can comment here.

  1. Have fun on vacation. With all that innuendo it seems you two really need so time locked in a cabin together.

  2. KinGizzard says:

Loved the pictures on christabelle.com, but the storie’s mood was made rather funny when I scrolled down past the hollow eyes… and saw honey mustard tofu!!! LOL

Will you be posting your angel poem that was read a few weeks ago?

    Have fun on ‘cation!

  3. Christa Belle says:

yeah, if you go to just the catagories, you can see only the story. i may put up the poems. dunno yet. they were always up on cb.com before i took it down. i know “Bride & Groom” was. kind of a “if you didn’t see it then, you lost your chance” kind of thang ;) sorry.

we will certainlyhave fun on ‘cation! but, we’re taking the music with us, just in case the mood strikes. keyboard, microphones and the laptops. :)

well, time for tea and opening the back door for the kitty boys.

take care and we’ll talk to you soon!

  4. KinGizzard says:

    Be good!

Catching up on my comment-leaving again just so that all my friends don’t think I’ve (a) abandoned them or (b) gone to live in a monastery !! Hello pals – thanks for a very funny show. You certainly act as a great tonic when I’m feeling run down and tired. Laughing again in no time – thank you :-)

Clatterford – it was called Jam & Jerusalem over here. I tried a few episodes but could never get into it so I gave up. I never much liked ‘Vicar of Dibley’ or ‘Ab Fab’ either. I like “French & Saunders” though.

I’ve been having a complete Father Ted session this week – a friend lent me his box-set so I was able to watch all three series in order rather than piecemeal on E4. Magnificent. I’d completely forgotten the tune to ‘My Lovely Horse’ and nearly wet my pants watching “Kicking Bishop Brennan Up The Arse” again. Oh dear.. I’m giggling again just typing it as it’s bringing the bishop’s facial expression back.

Drink ! Feck ! Arse ! Girls ! That would be an ecumenical matter. Yes !!
