As one year ends and another begins War-N and Christa recap 2006 and discuss the year’s events. A lot has happened in 2006…some good, some not. One thing has remained constant, and that is the tremendous support of all of YOU. For that we thank you, and hope you will join us for another year of music, creative expression and sillyness. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM HUNGRY LUCY – It’s that time of year where we’re all very busy and running around like mad things. It’s also a time of reflection, and for some reason, more than usual for me (War-N) this year. In that spirit, we wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you that supported Hungry Lucy this year. Those that bought CDs, those that shared our music with a friend, those that attended a show, helped us out on the road, listened to the podcast, or just took a moment to send us an appreciative email. It can never be said enough that YOU are the reason we are able to keep putting our music out there, traveling the country and expressing our inner-selves to such welcome ears & hearts.
So, whatever your celebration around this time of year, or simply just because … THANK YOU!
See you all again next year!
War-N & Christa Belle
In this 3-burp-episode, CB & War-N discuss minor ramblings about Tea, Tom Baker and T-Shirts! The summertime story behind photo on the original HL t-shirt is revealed. The OPM segment included David Francis, submitted by Christa. The conversation really takes a turn to dullsville when Christa begins reporting every move Peanut (the kitty) makes. Why do you listen? I really don’t know.
A short, 20 minute, cast this week as Christa has just returned from a fun, but exhausting family weekend while War-N exhibited his true nature as an eccentric recluse. The duo respond to Danielle’s question about musical gear and address Skeb’s request for more discussion on being “indie”. OPM’s this week delve into the music and lyrics of Madonna and the beauty of Justin Elswick’s Sleepthief project. Look for an extension of OPM on the Sonic Spotlight podcast.
This week Christa and War-N have a nice discussion about music criticism and how often the most introverted people end up on stage. War-N discusses flaccid Santas and Christa talks about putting on her shoes. The duo also share the story behind the song “Her Song” (from the album Glo). Other People’s Music (OPM) this week focuses on The Album Leaf, who War-N learned about on an Echoes podcast (video documentary). Christa shares her love of Cat Stevens, now known as Yusuf Islam (and War-N agrees). In particular, the pair talk about Cat’s songs “If you Wanna Sing Out, Sing Out” and “Trouble“. Look for an extension of OPM on the Sonic Spotlight podcast soon. War-N wants to know … is a Hungry Lucy T-shirt is worth $25 to you?
